Easy Vinaigrette

This Simple Vinaigrette packs a punch with the perfect balance of shallot, garlic, and a touch of honey or sugar for sweetness. With a little Dijon mustard, white wine vinegar, and a lemony kick, it’s your go-to dressing for salads, roasted veggies, or even as a marinade. All it takes is a whisk to bring it all together, and you've got a flavorful vinaigrette that’s far from basic. Simple ingredients, big flavor—you can’t go wrong!

 

Ingredients

  • 1 small shallot, grated or pasted

  • 1 clove garlic, grated, minced or pasted

  • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar

  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar

  • Juice of ½ small lemon

  • Salt and pepper

Directions

Serves: About ¾ cup

Place shallot and garlic in bowl with honey or sugar, Dijon, vinegar, lemon juice, salt and pepper, whisk and add EVOO in slow stream to emulsify.
